Now instead of just talking about the first Leeds Canvas we can begin to share elements as they start to emerge. During January our composer, Gavin Bryars, supervised the recording of brass, wind, recorders, children, church bells and even the River Aire. Here, during a break in working with musicians from the Orchestra of Opera North, Gavin talks about the music he has composed for OverWorlds & UnderWorlds, about the Brothers Quay, and reflects on how you might experience the piece in May.
